Natalie Elphicke MP

Dover and Deal MP, Natalie Elphicke has welcomed the reintroduction of all day direct hourly high-speed trains between Deal and St Pancras in both directions including the late night train at 23:28 on Monday to Saturday.

These services will be restored from 11th December 2022.

The high-speed train service was reduced due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Natalie Elphicke has been pressing rail bosses to reintroduce the regular high-speed train services to Deal since the end of lockdown.

Confirmation has now been received from Southeastern Trains that from 11th December these services will return to Deal as well as Martin Mill and Walmer.

Natalie Elphicke MP said: “These services are vital for commuting to work as well as to support our tourist trade and boost our local economy.”

“I have been working hard to make our community’s case for Deal’s all-day high-speed train services to return. I am delighted to see a successful outcome.”
