Witnesses are being sought to a knifepoint robbery reported to have taken place in Ramsgate.

At around 10.30pm on Thursday 1 September a man in his forties was walking past Albion Gardens near the top of Madeira Walk when the robbery took place.

It was reported that a group of up to four men aged in their early twenties asked the victim for his belongings. After he handed over his wallet containing money, as well as his keys, tobacco and a white iPhone 13, they then took his trainers and some clothing and left in the direction of the harbour.

The first suspect was described as wearing a red baseball cap, white top and was said to be holding a knife. The second suspect was wearing dark clothes and a black baseball cap. All of the suspects are believed to be around five feet eight inches tall, and were clean shaven.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything at the time of the robbery, or who has private CCTV or dashcam footage taken in the area to come forward.
