With just a day to go, excitement is building for the return of the Port of Dover Regatta when you’ll be welcomed for a day of seaside family fun!

From 10am to 6pm on Saturday 6th August, the Regatta will offer a vast array of activities, demonstrations and performers as well as plenty of food and drink stalls to tantalise your tastebuds along the Promenade, the Pier and the Marina Curve.

When you arrive, head to the Visitor Welcome Desk to find out what’s going on and enter the charity raffle – Port of Dover charity partners, the RNLI and Dover Foodbank, will benefit from cash collected throughout the day.

Once on to the Promenade and Waterloo Crescent, visitors can play classic fairground games, from Hoopla and a Coconut Shy to ‘Hook A Duck’ and ‘Roll A Coin’.

Then heading to the New Marina Pier, stop off at the Port of Dover and event sponsor stands and visit the various market stalls.

Music and Mermaids?

You will probably be able to hear the music stage on the Marina Curve, enticing you across to a host of performances throughout the day from a variety of great local musicians. You might even spot a real-life mermaid!

If you want a bit of competition between friends and family, there’s a Crazy Golf course too.

Raft Race

It would not be a complete regatta without activities on the water. The competitive spirit continues with the Community Raft Race in the morning and a special Royal Cinque Port Commodores Cup Yacht Race in the afternoon, as part of the 150 year celebrations of the Royal Cinque Ports Yacht Club.

There will also be a Hovercraft Display at lunchtime and displays being held in the afternoon by the RNLI and Port of Dover.
