A violent offender who stabbed a man during a disturbance in Folkestone has been jailed for 10 years.
Loui Allman was walking along Sandgate Road towards the town centre in the early hours of Saturday 21 August 2021 when he began to shout and verbally abuse a group of people he had crossed paths with.
When one of the men spoke back, Allman produced a knife and stabbed him twice in the side of his body.
The emergency services were called and the victim, who was in his 20s, was airlifted to a London hospital. It was later established that the blade had pierced his lung.
Allman, 33, of St Eanswythe Way, fled the scene but was quickly identified and arrested by Kent Police officers later that day.
He pleaded guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife prior to his sentencing at Canterbury Crown Court on Friday 15 July 2022. He will serve six years behind bars before being eligible for release on parole.

Investigating officer PC Damien Dixon said: ‘Members of the public should feel free to walk the streets of Kent without being verbally abused and attacked by the likes of Loui Allman. He had absolutely no reason to pick a fight with the victim and his friends, nor any excuse for carrying a knife and using it in such a violent and carefree manner. Allman has demonstrated himself to be a very dangerous individual, which is reflected in the length of the prison sentence he will now have to serve.’
