Morning call for Police after elderly man ‘punched and kicked’ by group in Sandwich during night hospitalised

Officers investigating a suspected assault in Sandwich are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Kent Police was called at around 9.20am on Thursday 16 June 2022 after a man in his 70s was admitted to a local hospital with injuries.

It was reported that he had been punched and kicked to the ground by three people the previous night (15 June) in Strand Street, between 10.30pm and the following morning.
