A county lines supplier is starting a prison sentence after officers discovered 400 class A drug deals at a property in Chatham.
In November 2021, investigators identified that a specific mobile phone number was being used to send bulk text messages advertising heroin and cocaine for sale in Chatham.
Following a complex investigation, officers identified that Mathys Ohoueu controlled the phone and drug delivery service, known as the ‘bully line’.
On 13 January 2022, he was tracked down to an address in Lordswood, where a search warrant issued under the Misuse of Drugs Act was executed.
Caught red-handed
Ohoueu was located in one of the bedrooms in possession of the phone that had been used to send the text messages.
In the same room the constables seized around 40 grams of crack cocaine and heroin worth more than £4,000 along with electronic scales.
Ohoueu, of Waterfield Close, Thamesmead, London was charged and at Maidstone Crown Court pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin, and possessing heroin with intent to supply.
Jailed
On Monday 13 June 2022, 24-year-old Ohoueu was sentenced to four years and six months in prison.
PC Luke Murray of Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team, said: ‘This dealer from London arrogantly thought he could remain anonymous while bringing misery to the streets of Medway.
‘His confidence was misplaced and our relentless investigators found out he was in control of the phone, found out which address he was using and then swiftly brought him to justice.’
