Suspected stolen goods valued at more than £10,000 have been recovered by police who responded apace to a report of bulk shoplifting from a store in Sevenoaks.
Cosmetic items were allegedly stolen from Boots in the High Street, on Sunday 12 June 2022.
Kent Police was called at 2.33pm and a search for the suspects was coordinated with the assistance of town centre CCTV operators.
By 3.10pm, officers had located and stopped three teenagers who had travelled to the area from Walthamstow, London.
A large quantity of suspected stolen items was seized, with an estimated value of around £10,260.
Charged
A 15-year-old boy and two girls, aged 14 and 17, were arrested.
They were all later charged with theft and are bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 18 July.
