A suspect is to appear before Medway Magistrates Court after a man suffered a serious injury in Rochester.

The incident happened in Crow Lane at around 3.10am on Saturday 4 June 2022.

Stab wound

It is alleged a man in his 20s was assaulted and sustained an injury consistent with a stab wound.

The victim made his way to Blue Boar Lane where he was treated by paramedics. He was then taken to a local hospital for medical attention where he remains in a stable condition.

Arrest

On Wednesday 8 June, a man was arrested in connection with the incident.

Michael Omola, of Acres Green Close, Chatham was later charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing a knife in a public place.

The 22-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Magistrates’ on Thursday 9 June.
