Patrolling officers have arrested two men following a report that a man had been assaulted after a dispute over parking in Dartford.

Officers made the arrests at 11.55pm on Monday 23 May 2022 after it was alleged that two men had pushed a third man down some communal steps before seriously assaulting him.

The incident was reported to have stemmed from a parking dispute in Hardwick Crescent, Dartford, at around 8.30pm.

A 35-year-old man from Hackney and a 30-year-old man from Dagenham were both arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

The 30-year-old man was further arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and possession of class B drugs.

Both men have been released on bail until 14 June while officers carry out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
