Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a flat fire on the Mallards in Willesborough, Ashford yesterday evening, 1 March.

Three fire engines were sent to the scene and crews arrived to a fire on the ground floor of the property.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets, main jets, and water from a local hydrant to tackle the blaze. 

Three people in the building were helped to safety by crews, before being passed into the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service.

Officers from Kent Police were also on the scene.

The cause of the blaze has not yet been established.
