Three kilos of cocaine was found by Kent Police officers during a routine patrol in the Ashford area.

Officers from Tactical Operations spotted a suspicious car on the A251 Faversham Road at around 1.25pm on Monday 15 November 2021.

The vehicle was pursued as it headed towards Boughton and brought to a controlled stop. In the boot, a box which appeared to have been concealed was seized by police and inside they discovered the cocaine. Further searches led to the recovery of cash and mobile phones and a man was arrested at the scene.

Charged

On Tuesday 16 November 2021, a man aged 54, from Edgware, London, was charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

He appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on the same day and was remanded in custody.
