Two suspects were arrested and drugs were seized during a Kent Police operation in Folkestone.
A team of police officers, some in uniform with a police dog, others in plain clothes, patrolled the town on Friday 15 October 2021 as part of work to deter violent crime.
Seven people were stopped and searched following work by police dog Max, leading to the seizure of a lock knife and cannabis and one person receiving a cannabis warning.
Arrests
Plain clothes officers meanwhile observed suspicious activity in Broadmead Road, leading to the seizure of suspected class A drugs.
A man in his 40s and a teenage boy were arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and have since been released pending further enquiries.
County lines
The day’s activity was part of County Lines Intensification Week, a national campaign to tackle drugs networks.
Properties previously identified as having been used by county lines networks were also visited to ensure no criminal activity was taking place.
