Local produce takes centre stage as hundreds turn out to enjoy the East Kent Ploughing Match held this year at Upper Venson Farm at Eastry.

Hundreds of visitors turned out to enjoy this year’s event and bask in the autumn sunshine. The annual mainstay of Kent’s rural social calendar, was attended by leading Kent law firm Furley Page which hosted guests at its marquee.

Deborah Geering, Partner at Furley Page who organised the firm’s attendance, said: “There was an excellent turnout for this year’s event, which certainly didn’t fail to deliver. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and it was heart-warming to see so many clients, contacts and friends in person after such a long time apart.  The event is always a wonderful opportunity to keep in touch with the local community and to say thank you to our clients.

“We were also proud to partner with Chapel Down vineyards and Simply Catering to offer local food and refreshments in Furley Page’s continued effort to support Kent’s fantastic food and drink producers.”
