Police Dog Bear
A police dog helped to recover stolen cigarettes and alcohol following a burglary in Folkestone.
Kent Police was called to a report of a break-in at a supermarket in Cheriton High Street at around 1.45am on Tuesday 14 September 2021.
Police dog Bear attended with officers and helped trace some of the stolen goods, including packets of cigarettes and cans of beer, to a van which was parked nearby.
A 42 year-old man from Folkestone has since been charged with going equipped to burgle, possession of a knife and burglary as part of the investigation.
The man appeared before the town’s magistrates’ court on Wednesday 15 September 2021 and was remanded in custody to appear again on a date to be arranged.
