KCC trading Standards has received a report that Dover residents are being targeted by doorstep criminals offering to jet wash their roof.

Look out for: A business offering ‘Power Cleaning’ call at you home They offer to clean your driveway and roof They offer a price which you agree They find more and more work that needs to be done on your home resulting in an increase in price |
What to do: ⛔ Say NO! Roofing industry bodies advise against power or jet washing your roof.Call Kent Police on 101Never open the door to cold callers.Report to Kent Police on 999 if you feel threatened.If you need work done use verified and safe traders on Trading Standards Checked .Always get three quotes before agreeing to any work.Please warn family members, friends and neighbours in the area. |
