Kent Fire and Rescue Service and HM Coastguard was called to reports of a person stuck in mud off the Harbour Arm, in Folkestone just after 11.30 this morning, 2 June.

Two fire engines arrived as well as the Water Safety Unit.

KFRS crews used mud paths to rescue a teenager, who was passed into the care of SECAmb.

Following the incident, crews are reminding people to be cautious when walking in muddy areas, as it can be often deeper than it looks.
