A suspect has been charged in connection with a burglary at a Whitstable home.

Kent Police received a report that on the afternoon of Sunday 28 March 2021, a trespasser had been found in a property in Faversham Road, Seasalter, and power tools had been moved within the house.

When challenged by the resident, the trespasser left.

A 50-year-old man from Sittingbourne, was charged with one count of burglary on Monday 29 March and appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded.

The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Tuesday 4 May.
