Emergency services worked together to rescue the pilot of a paraglider who had crashed into bushes about 50 metres down a steep hillside near Hawkinge.

Firefighters arrived shortly before 4pm on 31 March and helped by making the area safe.

HM Coastguard attended and the coastguard helicopter arrived at the scene near to the Folkestone White Horse, where the casualty was winched onboard at about 5pm and flown to hospital.
