Kent Police was called at 10.47am on 26 February 2021 to a report of a collision involving a maroon Toyota Starlet and an orange Vauxhall Mokka in Lower Road, Teynham near Faversham

Police attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

The Vauxhall was driving towards Sittingbourne from Deerton Street when it was involved in the collision with the Toyota.

The driver of the Toyota, a man in his twenties, was declared deceased at the scene and the next of kin have since been informed. A second man, who was the passenger in the car, was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries described as life changing. The driver of the Vauxhall car was taken to a London hospital via air ambulance to be treated for injuries not believed to be life changing.
