A car suspected to have been stolen was brought to a halt by a police stinger in Wye near Ashford.
On Friday 19 February 2021, at around 8.30pm, the vehicle was safely stopped in Olantigh Road after it had been pursued by patrols from the Canterbury area.

An officer from the Kent Police Dogs Unit arrested the driver, aged 27, on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, failing to stop, driving without insurance or a licence and driving whilst unfit through drugs. The man, who is from Ashford, was also arrested in connection with the theft of fuel from a petrol station in Hythe Road earlier that evening.
The passenger, a 35-year-old man from Ashford, was also arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft along with possessing a bladed article and class A drugs after police found two knives and heroin following a search.
Both men have since been released pending further investigation.
